Judge 1, Giovanni Piacentini: Beautiful and very clear score. Very effective writing. Well balanced and extremely musical. Interesting effects with good musical reason (not gimmicky). Judge 2, Laura Schwendinger: Jiaqi Liu’s piece shows that he has a command of drama and shaping of his material. Very impressive. Bravo!
